Medical Camp - India 2017

The people in the poor areas of India have limited access to even the most basic of medical care. For this project, we sponsored a medical camp at the Bethesda Christian Church which is in the heart of one of the largest slum areas in Chennai. 

We hired a local doctor, nursing staff, rented medical equipment, and purchased the necessary medication to be prescribed by the doctor. Patients went through a triage station, blood sugar/pressure station, received a general health assessment/check-up with the doctor, and prayers for healing. 

In total, 160 residents were provided with a free medical check-up and free medication for existing ailments.
